Alicia Kearns is the Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton who was elected in 2019. Alicia is an expert in countering violent extremism and hybrid warfare interventions having previously worked for the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where she led UK Government interventions in Syria and Iraq, and advised over 70 Governments on how to defeat the terrorist group Daesh (ISIS). Alicia also worked at the UK Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Justice and is an expert in managing crises, having handled nuclear leaks, prison-riots, live hospital murder investigations, and crises across the Middle East. She currently sits on the National Security Strategy Joint Committee.
